My name is Ido Segal, VP of Product at Tiny Love Ltd - an award-winning global company for toys and baby products.
Toys and games have always been my greatest passion. I believe in their ability to educate, connect but above all, to provide pure joy for our children. (I know this as I myself am a father of four).
I take pride in exploring different forms of mechanics, shapes and technologies, and always excited to discover the next best thing.
I have over a decade of experience and have held various positions throughout my career.
As a senior designer and creative director, I developed, designed and led teams to produce many different types of products, some of which won prestigious awards such as “The Kind and Juggend Innovation Award ''. My work was achieved by analyzing industry trends, conducting design brainstorming sessions, drawing ideas, illustrations, renders and prototypes.
I always start a project by understanding the user needs and the architecture of the product while acknowledging the importance of research and observations in order to pinpoint the shape, proportion, color, materials and production methods. I have vast experience experimenting with mockups and prototypes throughout the entire process in order to reveal the product’s core play value.
In addition, I am experienced in managing processes and personal meetings with global stakeholders in order to create tailor made products to feat local consumers. This process includes analyzing surveys, investigating local trends and understanding consumer behavior. In addition I was in charge of managing production processes with a number of factories in China providing engineering solutions, which led to the production assembly lines while meeting international standards and regulations.
I had the privilege to teach a toy design course in Israel at the Holon Institute of Technology and Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. Numerous products which I designed have been distributed through many industry leaders and multinational companies, including Amazon, Target, Walmart, Toys R Us, Babies R Us, Buy Buy Baby, Mother Care and John Lewis.
We have been taught that children learn through play. It is always my goal to provide the most functional, adaptable, safe and effective toys or games that will help a child’s development and of course bring happiness to their sweet little face.
